Just a few

QUESTIONS

So, we have decided to book you! How do we secure our booking?

Great, I always get so excited when a couple want to work with me! Before booking me, I will always arrange a zoom call or chat on the phone to make sure I am the right fit for you. Once you’re happy to go ahead, I will send you a contract to sign and require a 20% non-refundable deposit. Once I get these two things, you’re in my diary!

Our booking is now in the diary! What happens now?

Once you’re in the diary, there is usually a long period of time until the big day. However, I am available for as many emails/zoom calls/phone chats you need leading up to the day.

Two months before the wedding, I will send you an in-depth form to fill in, all about the details of your day so I know exactly what’s happening. Your remaining balance will also be due now.

What are your main tips for a smooth wedding day?

I have so many, but here are my top five:

– The more confetti, the better!

– Don’t rush anything – from the first kiss to the first dance, the longer it lasts, the better the shot!

– Allocate someone from your bridal party to be in charge of grabbing people for the group shots – this is such a time-saver and keeps it running smoothly.

– If you love those shots at golden hour, check what time the sun sets so we can head out for a quick shoot without disrupting the order of your day.

– This one’s for the bride: make sure you have some comfy shoes with you so you can dance the night away!

What if you are unwell or have an emergency and can't make it?

TOUCH WOOD – this has never happened to me and I have never missed a wedding. Even if I am not feeling great, I would have to be on my death bed not to show up!

However, if something unavoidable happened, I have a network of photographers that I can reach out to for my replacement. This will be at no extra charge, and I will still edit the photos they take so you still get the style you wanted.

What if we want something that isn't included in our package?

If you fancy a second photographer, a pre-wedding shoot or a luxury album for your parents, you can simply add these on to your package! For prices, see my pricing page where you can find a list of potential add-ons.

Are there any hidden charges I need to know about?

The only additional charge I may add is if your venue is over two hours away from my home. However, this isn’t a hidden charge as I will let you know before booking so you are fully aware of the total price. I will only ask for you to pay for my overnight accommodation, and I am perfectly happy in a Premier Inn!

Do we need to feed you?

Although it isn’t in the contract, I do ask every couple I work with to provide me with a meal when everyone sits down to eat (and the second photographer if you have one). I will have snacks to keep me going throughout the day, but a meal is very much appreciated! It gives me a second boost of energy to capture the epic dancefloor! I also do not expect you to give me a seat at a table; I will eat out of the way and this gives me a chance to switch camera batteries and memory cards over!

What if it rains?

Don’t panic! Whatever the weather, you will have an amazing time with your friends and family, so do not let a bit of drizzle ruin your day!

If you’re happy to go outside with a couple of brollies, so am I. If not, there will be plenty of opportunities indoors and we can always go outside at another time if the rain stops.

And most importantly, how long after our wedding will it be until we receive our full gallery?

I always say give me 6-8 weeks to cull, edit and deliver your gallery. The last thing you will want are photos that were rushed during the editing process. However, during quieter periods, you may receive your gallery sooner. I will always stay in touch and let you know!
