Childhood sweethearts, Sophie & Alex, tied the knot in a beautiful church local to their home in Sandhurst, Kent. This was followed by a drinks reception and wedding breakfast at Sophie’s childhood home, where she grew up with her neighbour (now husband!), Alex. They had a fabulous outdoor drinks reception and an al-fresco wedding breakfast under an open marquee, creating the perfect summer wedding.

As a wedding photographer who loves shooting outdoors in the rolling English countryside, I was in my element. From a beautiful church ceremony to relaxing garden cocktails to a summery outdoor marquee to eat, it was the perfect venue and setting for an outdoor UK wedding photographer.

As the wedding breakfast under the marquee came to an end, it transformed in to a party marquee! There was a band performing, outdoor party games and plenty of drinks flowing. I love stealing the couple at sunset for approx 15 mins; golden hour shots are one of my favourite parts of being an outdoor wedding photographer. These shots are a great addition to your wedding album.

The English countryside, in this case Kent, offers the perfect setting for gorgeous portraits with the green rolling hills, gorgeous summer sun and outdoor lighting + decorations. What made this Kent venue extra special was the fact it was where the couple met and grew up together – a true fairytale wedding!
