Helen & Ed had the perfect countryside wedding at Lains Barn in Oxfordshire. With rural surroundings and an idyllic restored barn, the setting was just gorgeous. If you’re looking for a relaxed, picture-perfect barn wedding, this is the venue for you!
With rustic wooden beams and floral decorations, the main barn was full of character and charm, creating an ideal ambience for the ceremony. The warm lighting and sun streaming through the open doors also flooded the barn with a light, summery atmosphere. As a wedding photographer, this was a dream and looked stunning!
The ceremony was fantastic; Helen & Ed had an outstanding choir and their pet dog as the ring-bearer – the cutest ring-bearer I’ve ever witnessed! After the ceremony, everyone wandered outside for the perfect outdoor drinks reception. Guests gathered for a drink and a chat; some under the covered open byre, some at the festoon-lit seating area and some played a spot of crazy golf on the lawn. Lains Barn really does cater for everybody – indoors and out!
Everybody returned to the main barn for the wedding breakfast, which included some singing waiters and a unique pub quiz, put together by Helen & Ed themselves. After some heart-felt and hilarious speeches, the main barn transformed in to a dance floor for everyone to party the night away. The cosy furnished booths and lit up beams meant that the countryside, barn wedding vibe continued throughout the night.
Ideal for your wedding photography, the picturesque backdrop of the North Wessex Downs are made for some golden hour sunset portraits. As a wedding photographer who loves the outdoors, Lains Barn delivers! The setting, the barn and the perfect blend of indoors + outdoors means your wedding photography will not disappoint.
